Hey Ukraine friends,
We are a group of several small imageboards, colloquially we call ourselves "The Webring". We connect our imageboards to each other in order to advertise them to other anonymous friends, as well as to help them in times of need and organize intra-boards competitions like the Infinity Cup.
We were looking for new members and I stumbled upon your website. If you're interested, please check out websites such as smuglo.li, alogs.theguntretort.com or anon.cafe for more information. You can also check out how many boards are part of our group from https://smuglo.li/webring.json

Can you give more details about this?

Sure thing. It's an inter-board football/soccer/divegrass AI tournament where every board in the Webring is allowed to participate with their own team. It's usually hosted every semester, but we've been experimenting with extra tournaments in between seasons. The goal is to have fun with other anons and to give some exposure to smaller boards that don't usually see much traffic (/kind/ got a huge boost in popularity after they won, for example).

Normally I'd send out links to replays but nekobar has been down lately so just imagine something like this but spread through two weeks' worth of content.

What are the requirements for joining and what will I need to do if I want to join? Also, can you name the game in which you simulate football matches?

I don't mind.

>What are the requirements for joining
Just being an anonymous imageboard is enough, the other ones will add you as well to their listing
>and what will I need to do if I want to join?
You'll need to install this plugin https://gitlab.com/Tenicu/infinityaddon-webring (actually there used to be another one but I've lost the link to it), then you'll need to be followed back by the other imageboards (not a problem, they all follow each other)
>Also, can you name the game in which you simulate football matches?
Last time the host was still using PES 2017 (you can find all the links to the exports on the wiki) in order to maintain the same 3D models as the other cups. Note that they will only accepts boards that are in the Webring - they tried opening it for other Imageboards but the owners ran into some issues and they're a bit more hesitant right now.

That's so fucking cool!

A little less than a year ago we wanted to create our own team, but we didn't manage to implement it inside the game. If you have people who can complete our work, we would be very grateful.
I'm a little busy right now (IRL football), but I'll write my thoughts on it later.

Yeah, we have fun when the cup comes around, especially because some of our teams are full of custom player models.
>If you have people who can complete our work, we would be very grateful.
I personally can't, but I know some guys who might do some basic stuff for you.

sounds nice

Sounds good, yes

I will tell a little about our team.

First we did it in PES 16, later in PES 13. There was a list of 16 players based on local memes, people or just popular phenomena.

Nichan's Arena, four sets of uniforms (2 field, 2 GK), etc. were also made.

The problem was that I can't:
1. Export/import team into the game.

2. I don't know how to manipulate game files to change the shape of a player or the texture of a stadium.

In other words, I could only work with an in-game editor.

I think that if we could solve these problems, FC "Nichan City" would join your competition. I would be very happy about that.

Wew here I'm back, friend. Sorry about leaving you hanging for so long, things have been exceedingly weird on our boards.
Anyhow, I wanna try and bring more imageboards, not necessarily webring based, into our little cup. Maybe it'll just go to friendlies, to be honest the host guy is skeptical when adding people that are not from the Webring itself, but this is only because he does 99% of the work for the 3D/in-game assets and any new added team forces him to apply changes all over again. I'm just a jersey-fag.
First of all, here, use this wiki page to edit your team to your heart's content http://infinitycup.shoutwiki.com/wiki/Nichan technically SKF is migrating the wiki but whatever, it's best to keep everything tidy even if someone else ends up hosting.
The game we use on /icup/ is PES 2017 (just use the usual places to get it), while the export for the last cup (''Infinity Cup 6', not the G-Cup, which is why we're still lagging behind on our schedule) is on http://infinitycup.shoutwiki.com/wiki/Pro_Evolution_Soccer_2017
>There was a list of 16 players based on local memes, people or just popular phenomena.
That's good enough. You can pick up to 23 player names.
Each player must have a Position, Player Cards and Medals, as described in http://infinitycup.shoutwiki.com/wiki/Player_Cards . You must also select a Captain, which gets a free 'Captaincy' card (basically he's just arbitrarily stronger). Optionally, you can select their Preferred Foot (and please do it if you're editing the team, it helps a lot).
Secondly comes the strategy: http://infinitycup.shoutwiki.com/wiki/Team_Strategies for reference. You can ignore this if you don't want to think too much about it, but it helps setting up the parameters listed on the page. Optionally, you can request custom substitution rules (players are subbed at half time, 60'. 75' and in extra time if there's still substitutions available). The host SHOULD try to follow it as closely as possible, though it can't always be the case. Note that Medal players and the Captain can never be subbed out. We play with Injuries OFF so you should only worry about Stamina and yellow cards.

Finally, and this is the most important part, comes the customization. You must have at least three different kits (use guides http://infinitycup.shoutwiki.com/wiki/Creating_Kit_Sets and in pic related to make your own, or ask me and I'll give you a hand when I've got some time off), an Emblem (you can just use >>2491 if you want) and, optionally, 3D models or faces for the players (WE REALLY APPRECIATE THESE, https://implyingrigged.info/wiki/AET and https://implyingrigged.info/wiki/Blender_tutorials#PES16.2F17_2 are your friends, sadly all I can do is point you towards them as our resident blenderanon does all the work). Try and make sure that they work with the game on your own first, using save editors like http://infinitycup.shoutwiki.com/wiki/Save_Editors and you're completely set. The bare minimum would be making sure that the kits work properly, so that we can add it to the main export.
Finally, if you've got issues, just come to https://anon.cafe/icup/res/15.html and someone should at some point help you out.
