It's Christmas Eve
are you going to do something for Christmas?
I don't, but I still like to eat christmas food

 No.2111

Catholic Christmas is almost not celebrated in Ukraine.

New Year is a much bigger holiday.

Venezuela-kun, how is Christmas celebrated in Venezuela?

Just checked every calendar I could find, they are all gregorian.

If your IQ was higher than 89, you'd know that noone is using the Julian calendar, just Eastern Orthodox church decided not to move it's celebration days after the reform, making that division of Western holidays (colloquially refered to as Catholic) and Eastern (colloquially refered to as Orthodox). Next time think before you type, dum-dum.

>for no reason
The reason is immediate convinience and lack of ability to think ahead (which is expected from such organization as religion).

Eh, yeah, I said that wrong and incorrectly, I admit that. Sorry.

Families get together this evening and there's alot of diferent dishes
always hallaca and ham bread, also chiken salad and baked ham
and there's different desserts: green papaya, cabello de ángel, buñuelos, natilla (the later 2 are more colombian though) and also Torta Negra (black cake)

as you can see, my favorite part is the food :3

also people give hallacas to the neighbours, and exchange gifts between the family
then at midnight, when kids are already asleep, adults put the gifts from the "Infant Jesus" close to the nativity scene (or under the christmas tree) and then they go to sleep
