Never tasted this dish.
I would not give up a plate of olivier or kholodets' now.
Bezosibny 13/09/20 13:35:17 No. 1372
You should try it, it's pretty easy
Kholodets' sounds interesting, I'll try it someday; this week, I hope

I want to try homemade baba ghanoush. Some Greek restaurants sell it here, but it's overpriced.
Food thread 13/09/20 15:47:35 No. 1374
nothing better than homemade food
You can prepare it to your liking

Kholodets' makes me vomit just from the thought of it.
This babaganoush looks a lot like hummus. I love hummus. But we never made it ourselves, I usually buy it from a supermarkt.
Food thread 13/09/20 16:07:43 No. 1376
do they sell it already made over there ? !?

There's a store near me that sells hummus mixed in with kalamata olives, it's so fucking good bruv, like you wouldn't believe it.
I love olives.

Just some 20 years ago we lived in a similar situation. Things do change.

I thought LATAM was obsessed with tomatoes, pepper and olives, lol.
Bezosibny 13/09/20 18:36:55 No. 1387
that's more like the Mediterranean :v
Here we are obsessed with maize, bell pepper, coriander and green bananas
Bezosibny 13/09/20 19:22:08 No. 1389
Nah. They're obsessed with tomatoes, onions, and jalapenos: bell peppers are used sparingly, and olives are used for only certain dishes or occasions.

>>1386 >green bananas
Sorry what? We call 'green bananas' as in 'not yet developed bananas', bad, the bananas that need some time more to be ready to eat.
Bezosibny 13/09/20 21:46:47 No. 1393
That doesn't sound tasty...
Bezosibny 14/09/20 11:03:25 No. 1397
It isn't tasty XD but it's cheap (0,30$ 1kg)
It's pretty much tasteless, a little bitter, but with guacamole is great
