I started having very vivid dreams relatively recently (a little bit over a month ago, about). It started out with nightmares, although that's thankfully fizzled out.

Dreams so vivid that I can remember them days afterwards, and I even wake up confused because I still think what happened in the dream-world carried over to the real world.

I wasn't this much of a dreamer before. Sure, I had dreams every now and then, but there were nights when I didn't dream at all, and they weren't usually so vivid or intense. Any idea what's causing this? Is it mental illness?

AFAIK we dream pretty much every night, but if you don't wake up at that moment you forget it.

Maybe bezos is under a lot of pressure lately? because stress may cause nightmares, weird dreams

I don't think that it's caused by mental illness :/ (I hope)
But still, take care of yourself

When I wake up after dream, I can't even remember if I've seen the dream in first or third person, lol. It feels like it was in 3rd, but I don't remember seeing my back.

Dreams may be caused by anything, they can be even "hollow"(without meaning or causation)
I have seen it all: from walking ruined cities to the talking with (evil?) mighty entities who would explain how its haveing fun.
Very rarely I see future or influences from others.

I think I had Covid19 at the beginning of 2020, since it lasted for months before I felt normal again. The vivid dreams started after I began to feel better.

Probably just a coincidence.

Ive been having really vivid dreams lately due to taking 10mg of melatonin every night.
So vivid I yell in my sleep because In my dream I am getting attacked.

You dream when you have deeper REM sleep. Im no expert but when your brain has a deeper sleep it gives it access to dream more. You'll have to look it up but very interesting.
